Royal Highland Show, Edinburgh 2010
14 July, 2010

With the cattle showing season now well underway, the success of our Hereford stock bull Romany 1 Captain becoming Supreme Show Champion at the Royal Highland Show has surpassed all our expectations this year.
It is more than 30 years since a Hereford has won this prestigious interbreed title and we are delighted by the show judge’s description of Captain as –
“a wonderful animal; correct, with muscle in the right places – a worthy winner.”
On his way to winning the Overall Show Championship, Captain was the Senior Hereford Bull class winner, Male Hereford Champion and overall Hereford Champion.
The Royal Highland Show is won of the most important of all the UK agricultural shows, with a 2010 record attendance of 187,000 visitors over the 4 days.
Also successful this year are two of our younger animals, the Hereford Heifer Cleland 1 Clover 4th who took the Hereford female Champion at the Bath & West.
Our young bull Cleland 1 Clancy took Interbreed Reserve Superbeef Bull at the South of England Show.
